Ingredients: 3 cups water; 15 g Knorr lime seasoning; a small clove garlic; a small piece ginger; 1/2 tsp coriander seeds; a small pinch cumin; a few sprigs coriander leaves; salt to taste; a small pinch asafoetida; 1 sprig fresh curry leaves; 1 no red chilli; a few mustard seeds; 1/2 tsp oil

Serves

3 cups water
15 g Knorr lime seasoning
a small clove garlic
a small piece ginger
1/2 tsp coriander seeds
a small pinch cumin
a few sprigs coriander leaves
salt to taste

For tempering

a small pinch asafoetida
1 sprig fresh curry leaves
1 no red chilli
a few mustard seeds
1/2 tsp oil

Crush garlic, ginger, cum in and coriander seeds together.
Mix with Knorr Lime Seasoning, water, salt, turmeric and coriander leaves.
Bring to a boil.
Simmer for a few minutes.
Remove from fire.
Heat oil, add curry leaves, broken red chilli, asafoetida and mustard seeds.
As seeds crackle, pour rasam into the pan.
Reheat and remove.
