  • 1 cup Toor daal /split pigeon pea
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 tomatoes chopped
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp Knorr Chef’s Dal masala
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt To taste
  • 1 green chilli, chopped
  • ½ tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves

  • 1 Wash toor dal and add turmeric, salt and pressure cook with water, bring to 2 whistles and then lower the flame.
  • 2 Cook for 10 min on low flame and keep aside.
  • 3 Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and allow it to splutter.
  • 4 Add onion and cook until light brown.
  • 5 Add tomatoes, chopped green chilies and cook till oil separates
  • 6 Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • 7 Add boiled dal and mix well. Add water (if required) and boil for 2-3 mins.
  • 8 Add Knorr Chef's Dal Masala, stir well so that no lumps are formed.
  • 9 Garnish with Fresh chopped coriander leaves.
  • 10 Serve hot and enjoy.
