PANEER MAKHNI RECIPE

Certainly the most popular vegetarian dish. This is a signature dish of the Dilli Darbar restaurant, New Delhi, from where this dish originated.

  • Cottage cheese cut into cubes
  • 2 tbsp Cashewnuts
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 to 3 Tomato chopped
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp kasoori methi powder
  • 1 tbsp Knorr royal vegetable masala
  • 1 tsp Green cardamom powder
  • ¼ cup Low fat Cream
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt To taste
  • 1tbsp coriander chopped

  • 1 Heat oil in a non stick kadhai .Add soaked cashewnuts and sliced onions and sauté lightly .
  • 2 Add tomatoes and cook for another 10 -12 mins till the tomatoes soften .
  • 3 Add red chilli powder ,Turmeric powder ,Coriander powder ,Knorr Chef’s Royal vegetable masala, Salt to taste and sauté .
  • 4 Transfer the mixture into a blender,cool and grind to smooth paste by adding little water. Transfer back the mix into kadhai .Add 1 cup of water ( 150 ml) .
  • 5 Add butter ,cover and cook on low flame .Add the cream and mix well.
  • 6 Add the paneer pieces along with kasoori methi powder and green cardamom powder .
  • 7 Garnish with chopped coriander and cream.
  • 8 Serve hot and enjoy .
