  • 3 cups water
  • 15 g Knorr lime seasoning
  • a small clove garlic
  • a small piece ginger
  • 1/2 tsp coriander seeds
  • a small pinch cumin
  • a few sprigs coriander leaves
  • salt to taste

  • 1 Crush garlic, ginger, cum in and coriander seeds together.
  • 2 Mix with Knorr Lime Seasoning, water, salt, turmeric and coriander leaves.
  • 3 Bring to a boil.
  • 4 Simmer for a few minutes.
  • 5 Remove from fire.
  • 6 Heat oil, add curry leaves, broken red chilli, asafoetida and mustard seeds.
  • 7 As seeds crackle, pour rasam into the pan.
  • 8 Reheat and remove.
