1. In a pressure cooker, boil the toor dal in about 2 1/2 Cups (400ml) of water along with salt and turmeric.
2. In a deep pan, heat the oil and fry the mustard seeds. Add the cut vegetables, curry leaves and tamarind paste along with 2 1/2 cups (400ml) water and 3 tbsp (20 g) Knorr Chef's Sambar Masala, mix well, bring to boil, cover with a lid and cook till vegetables are done.
3. Add the boiled dal to the cooked vegetables, mix well and cook for 5 minutes or till the Sambar is thick. Serve hot!
